If state legislators do not fund public schools by Tuesday, Clark County School District Superintendent Carlos Garcia said he will consider taking them to court.
However, that would do nothing to alleviate the short-term problems faced by public schools across Nevada, Garcia said at Thursday night's school board meeting.
He said no state funding would mean no salaries for new teacher positions.
