Companies often rent 1800 numbers for a couple of months after a recall is announced. If the number given is no longer operating, phone the manufacturer or retailer direct.
THE PRODUCT: Only $2 has recalled the Super Gun Projectile Toy, a multicoloured 20 cm long handheld toy, with three multicoloured hard aeroplane-shaped darts with cardboard wings. It was sold in Only $2 stores between October and November 2002 in NSW and Tasmania.
The problem: The product doesn't meet the Australian toy standard as the darts pose an eye hazard to young children.
What to do: Don't use it. Store carefully before returning it to the place of purchase for a refund.
THE PRODUCT: LookSharp Concepts has recalled Super Power Trucks, barcode 9316292090638, available in four assorted styles and sold through discount stores from September 2002.
