Juliette John has an appreciation for the finer cultural arts and the measure of time that accompanies the perfection of these skills.
As a vice president and portfolio manager of Bissett Dividend Income Fund, she is committed to a portfolio that is well invested for long-term appreciation.
John has worked as an equity trader and equity analyst. She currently juggles analysis and portfolio management duties. Since joining Bissett Funds in 1994, John is committed to the firm's GARP (growth at a reasonable price) style of investing, ensuring investors that they can be confident every holding in a Bissett Fund has good growth prospects and was purchased at a reasonable valuation. With a focus on quality, dividend-yielding securities, the fund has outperformed the average Canadian dividend income fund, with less risk, over the past 10 years.
"The dividend income fund is a bit of a different beast in that it is a multi-asset class fund designed to generate income to the unit holder," John explains. "We've got the majority of our assets in equity, so we look for companies with reasonable capital appreciation potential and the ability to grow the dividends over time.
