ING Pilgrim Investments has launched two new value funds, the ING Mid-cap Value Fund and ING Small-Cap Value Fund, both of which are sub-advised by Brandes Investment Partners. The mid-cap fund is co-managed by Keith Colestock and W. James Brown. The small-cap fund will be co-managed by Amy Minning and William Pickering.

William Blair & Co. Investment Management has closed the First Quadrant Fund managed by Stanley Kirtman. He has left the firm to join Wright Investors' Services. He is a portfolio manager and will focus on large-cap growth stocks.

Portfolio manager Mark Cunneen, head of the small-cap growth team and manager of the Seligman Frontier Fund and the Seligman Global Smaller Companies Fund is leaving J.&W Seligman & Co. to launch his own long/short equity hedge fund. Frederick Ruvkun will manage Cunneen's responsibilities.

Jay Burnham closed Reprise Capital Partners and liquidated the small-cap focused hedge fund Reprise Partners Fund, which was managed with a distressed and turnaround investment style. Burnham is now a portfolio manager and analyst for hedge fund firm Rocker Management.
