Sometimes I really feel sorry for my tire dealer friends because I don't know how they manage to know what to buy. If the array of products confuses me, think about the poor customer. In recent years we've had tire names like Eagle, Firehawk, Wrangler, Potenza, Classic, Pilot and Cobra. Then we saw some letter or letter/number combinations such as MX-4, XGT, UNIT, FT 70c, EMT, MXV4ZP and PA V. Not to be outdone, in early May Bridgestone gave the industry a mouthful with two new tires, the UNIT AQ and the SH30 RFT. It's no wonder that meaningful product differentiation is so tough to achieve!
