The big brand-name pharmaceutical manufacturers have lost few battles in Washington over the years. But as health costs rise, the war between the pharmas and just about everybody else is heating up and is unlikely to end without some concessions from the companies, said a group of the nation's governors; large employers including General Motors, Verizon Communications, and Wal-Mart; and labor organizations at a Feb. 25 press conference.
