KOHALA COAST, HAWAII -- Infliximab is the most effective biologic agent for psoriasis, whether you look at hard data or soft data, said David M. Pariser, M.D.
He compared efficacy data for the three biologic agents approved for psoriasis treatment--alefacept (Amevive), efalizumab (Raptiva), and etanercept (Enbrel)--with data on two newer biologic agents in the pipeline for approval--adalimumab (Humira) and infliximab (Remicade)--as well as the results of a similar but uncontrolled study comparing two standbys of psoriasis treatment, methotrexate and cyclosporine.
