The National Mental Health Association (NMHA) in a partnership with a non-profit organization dedicated to suicide prevention, intervention and healing, joined with musicians on Capitol Hill this month to urge federal officials to prioritize children's mental health--specifically, youth suicide prevention.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people ages 15-24, according to NMHA.

NMHA and the Kristin Brooks Hope Center officially partnered in December in an effort to prevent youth suicide by advocating for increased investment in children's mental health services and research and operating national hotlines. Both groups have also teamed up …
