Cutting through the prairies of Kentucky on the way to Paducah, the state's pride in its Kentucky Blue Grass all but takes over. Upon arriving in Paducah, home of the Jack Meadows Memorial Race and GNC TT Round 5, focus and local admiration quickly switches to the hard-packed blue-groove track. But the state and track as the fans' focal point quickly vanishes--something more important is grabbing attention.

Shane "Dog" Hitt, decked out in Blue Shift Gear head to toe (enough to make the Blue Man Group jealous), rolled onto the Kentucky track aboard his Yamaha for the second race of his TT season. Hitt, who is still recovering from a shattered ankle and is less than 100-percent healthy, didn't take long to regain the dominance displayed during his 2003 championship season. At the start of the Pro class at Round 5, fans and racers saw something all too familiar--Hitt quickly jumping out front and fading into the low-lit Kentucky night for the victory.
Honda pilot Tim Farr wasn't about to let the victory come easy for Hitt, though, as the Red Rider stayed close throughout the entire race. Farr was unable to find a safe passing line on the tight track, riding to a second-place finish. But...
