Melanie Maeder hit a 3-point shot as time expired in overtime to give Pahrump Valley a 55-53 victory over Boulder City in the girls Class 3A state basketball championship game Saturday at the Orleans Arena.
"It's awesome," a tearful Maeder said. "It's just awesome."
The victory gives the Trojans back-to-back titles.
