Ever since losing its second consecutive 1A state championship game last February, Lake Mead had one objective:
Win the title.
The Eagles (21-7) are one step closer after defeating Pyramid Lake 77-57 in the Class 1A state semifinals Friday night at Del Sol.
Lake Mead will face Virginia City (23-4), a 68-43 winner over Trinity, for the championship at 8:20 tonight at the Orleans Arena.
