Round 9 of the ITP/ATVA MX Nationals at High Point marked race No. 5 for Joe Byrd's Honda TRX450R. Byrd started the season, like almost every other Pro racer, on a Yamaha YFZ450. After a few rounds of racing, and after the Honda became readily available, he switched his allegiance to Ride Red.

Although Byrd and his mechanic, Chris Delegarde, are pretty secretive about what's going on inside the 450cc engine in this quad, we managed to squeak a little information out of them. What they'd give up to us is listed in the specs below.
