New York, July 31 (PTI) In what may represent a new type of metabolism, US researchers have discovered two worm species that thrive on the bones of whale carcasses, a science magazine has reported.
The worms contain bacteria that help them digest the fats and oils of the whale skeletons. This type of symbiotic relationship has never been seen before, and may represent a new type of metabolism, Nature magazine reported....
