Using a new Web tool launched by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, consumers can get easy-to-understand, institution-specific ratings of hospitals' performance on several quality and safety measures beginning July 15. By logging on at www.qualitycheck.org or www.jcaho.org, consumers can search for JCAHO-accredited providers by name, type, or location, and download institution-specific Quality Reports to use when comparing facilities, JCAHO announced at a July 15 press conference
