Four months after their sign ordinance was targeted in a federal lawsuit, Boulder City officials are taking steps to ban billboards and other off-site commercial signs.
The ban was written into a proposed ordinance approved Wednesday by the Boulder City Planning Commission. The ordinance would replace the city's existing rules governing signs, which have changed little since 1988.
