* There will be a host of new administrators at Rio Rancho schools this year

Rio Rancho students will greet new administrators at more than half the schools in the district when they head back to class next month.

Six schools in the district have new assistant principals, including Rio Rancho High School, which has four. Two schools have new co-principals.

The shift in staff started with the departure of principal Gary Tripp, who left to head the New Mexico Activities Association. Lincoln Middle School principal Richard VonAncken was hired to replace him. Assistant principal of the RRHS…
