Americans don't think about their daily and yearly use of various resources that waste energy, pollute the environment, and add to landfills.
Earth Day arrived and left on April 22, and the principles it brought us to save the earth using natural materials, different forms of energy, and recycling continue. Many building contractors are on the bandwagon to save the earth by following green principles of building. However, not everyone is aware of cutting energy use and recycling basic materials.

Junk mail
- If only 100,000 people stopped their junk mail, we could save up to 150,000 trees annually. If a million people stopped junk mail, we could save up to a million and a half trees.
- The junk mail Americans receive in one day could produce enough energy to heat 250,000 homes.
