Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc. dedicated a 100,000-[ft.sup.2] welding consumables facility in Chennai, India, intending it to serve growing demand in that market and the rest of the Asia Pacific region.
"The new Chennai plant represents an important investment for Lincoln in the expanding market for welding products in India," stated John M. Stropki, Lincoln's chairman and CEO. "Our plant will serve the growing demand from industry and large infrastructure projects that are fueling India's economic growth."
