U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey told reporters on May 26 that a "reality scenario" for Iraq means "we're going to have 10 Army and Marine units deployed for a decade in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Casey's remark flatly contradicts the perception that many Americans have that President Obama intends to withdraw the troops from Iraq. The perception is understandable, given Obama's rhetoric.
