In the very early morning hours of January 21, just after midnight, 40-year-old George England drove up to a rural home in Clay County, Missouri, walked up on the porch, and began screaming loudly, "Come out here, you know me, I'm Animal."
An unidentified couple, a 48-year-old mother of two and her 44-year-old husband, came to the door, but would not open it for England. They tried earnestly and repeatedly to convince England that they did not know him, and that they wanted him to leave.
According to the January 26 Kansas City Star, the woman immediately dialed 911. As the woman was trying to describe the strange, frightening confrontation on her doorstep to dispatchers, and before police could respond, the man began forcing his way inside the home. At that point, her husband again warned the man, repeatedly insisting that they did not know each other, holding a handgun as protection for his family.
