On 16 Jun 2008, the European Commission adopted a Regulation establishing maximum residue limits for cyfluthrin in caprine species, valid throughout the European Union. These maximum residue limits were based on the favourable opinion and the assessment report adopted by the Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use. Cyfluthrin is intended for use in goats for the control of flies and tabanids by external administration only. Cyfluthrin had maximum residue limits already established for bovine species. The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (Germany) submitted a request for the extension of maximum residue limits to the European Medicines Agency …
