Iran/Iraq: Baghdad Spokesman Dismisses Iran's Interference in Iraq.

Section: General News - Iraqi Government Spokesman Ali Dabbaq on Tuesday denounced claims by the US military commanders about Iran's interference in Iraq, and underlined that there is no evidence to substantiate such interference.

Referring to the friendly ties between Tehran and Baghdad, Dabbaq told FNA, "Relations between Iran and Iraq are friendly and there is no acute or fundamental problem (in the ties) between the two countries." He denied the remarks of the top US commander in Iraq General Ray Odierno against Iran, and said there is no evidence corroborating Iran's role in recent unrests in Iraq.
