Manila, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) is sending another batch of elite combat troopers to Mindanao amid continuing operations against the Abu Sayyaf Group in several provinces down south.

The PNP Special Action Force (SAF) will send a 226-member contingent to Basilan on Sunday to augment troops pursuing bandits in that province, the PNP announced Saturday.
