Sindh Assembly, through a joint resolution on Saturday, demanded of the federal government not to withdraw subsidy on power tariff until adequate electricity is made available by Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) and other electricity providers.

The out-of-turn resolution was jointly tabled by members from PPP, MQM and PML-Q in the House minutes before Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro called it a day till Monday after the provincial legislature passed Budget 2009-10 and Sindh Finance Act, 2009.
