Section: General News - The Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Sanan Kachornprasart to discuss and sort out this matter. The concern is to improve the infrastructure of the SRT. A consensus was reached that the SRT will continue to operate in three divisions consisting of; the maintenance section, the railway operation section, and the railway asset management. The three sections will continue to be under the authority of the state railway. The only adjustment made is the subdivision of the operating bodies, which would be divided into three separate sectors for the railway agency to function more efficiently. The Government has not mediated with the SRT labor union, but, the, Prime Minister said, the problem stems from an unresolved issue that began since the preceding government.
