Friends since childhood, the four 30-something members of Phoenix are endearingly well mannered for a French pop sensation, but perhaps that's to be expected of young men raised in the conservative suburb of Versailles. Emerging in the late 1990s, the band rose to fame after their single "Too Young" was featured in Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation .
