Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Thursday made it clear that a powerful Prime Minister could not save the democracy in the past, saying that PPP government would create a balance of power between Prime Minister and President for smooth functioning of the parliamentary system.
Taking part in the debate on budget in the evening sitting of the lower House of the Parliament, PPP lawmakers said that it was a fact that even a powerful Prime Minister with two-third majority in the past could not be able to save the democratic system thus a balance of power is must to save the system.
