Regent Stephan Ludwig raised concerns that a new diversity report showed that only 19% of full professors on the University of Colorado's Boulder campus are women, and said officials need to monitor gender equity on campus.

He expected the imbalance to "self-correct" as more women enroll in PhD programs, but Boulder campus chancellor Phil DiStefano warned that it takes about 15-17 years to become a full professor.
