Financial aid isn't just for kids. For the first time, adults returning to school or entering higher ed are eligible for grants and other aid. Adult learners, most of whom are women, may qualify for:

* Pell grants. Undergrads of all ages who demonstrate need can get a grant of up to $5,350 per year. Grants can be pro-rated for part-time students.
