House concerts are a means for musicians to get extra gigs in an intimate, comfortable environment that offers benefits for all involved.

Musician Shawn Trotter recently hosted a seminar on holding house concerts at the Burlington, ON Long & McQaude location. "House concerts are a win-win situation for both the host and musician," comments Trotter. "For the musician, these intimate performances for a captive and interested audience guarantee a decent night's wage, increased merchandise sales, and exposure to new fans."
