Section: General News - Intel has urged the government to put more investment into the nation's technology infrastructure to help the country bridge the digital divide, The Nation reports.

The move is to help people in rural areas gain access to information and help small and medium businesses improve their competitiveness.

Debjani Ghosh, Intel's director of sales and marketing for Southeast Asia, said the most suitable technology is wireless and the best wireless technology is WiMax- Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access.
