EMPLOYMENT : CRISIS JOB SUMMIT TO SET PRIORITIES.(Brief article)
The crisis job summit' will identify general principles on how the European Union and its member states should handle the impacts of the crisis on the labour market. The meeting's draft conclusions say that "the Union and its member states must assert their will to put people at the centre of their recovery plans". Questions on how to keep people in jobs and how to get those who lost theirs jobs back into work will be addressed. The delegates will also discuss the issues of ageing and declining work force. The temporary adjustment of working hours and full labour mobility could be part of the messages' that will be sent out by the participants, on 7 May in Prague.
