On 27 September 2008, at the Pacific Regional 225th Anniversary Celebration Dr. Peter N. Moogk UE became the second recipient of the Phillip E.M. Leith Memorial Award.

exemplifies the "best in volunteerism"

This annual award, exclusive to UEL Pacific Regional membership, was established in 2007 by the Vancouver Branch and confers recognition on the recipient who exemplifies the "best in volunteerism" through their contribution to one of the UEL Pacific Regional Branches or to the United Empire Loyalists Association of Canada at large.

The criteria for the Award are:

* Candidate is an active member, involved in work at the Branch level and the UELAC at large

* Candidate volunteers actively in local Branch activities

* Candidate acts as a mentor for new prospective members and volunteers
