Air travel no longer constitutes the glamorous gig it once might have, due mainly to the indignities that flyers suffer at the hands of stringent and frequently humorless security personnel. Other changes dulling the allure of plane travel include tacked-on luggage costs, less convenient flight schedules, and, arguably, the end of exoticism.
