The American Institute of Architects Michigan (AIA Michigan) has announced the appointment of Kim Fricke-Young of Professional Concepts Insurance Agency, Inc. (PCIA), of Brighton, MI, to the newly created position of professional affiliate advisor.

Fricke-Young brings tremendous experience from the insurance industry. She has provided advice and served as a resource to many of Michigan's top architectural, engineering, accounting, and law firms. "PCIA has enjoyed over 20 years of serving its clients, staff and community. I am excited to be given the opportunity to serve the architectural community in this new capacity," Fricke-Young said.

Fricke-Young's insurance career began in 1978. Since 1985 she has specialized in working closely with professional firms to design insurance and risk management programs to meet their unique needs. In 1988, Fricke-Young was a founding principal and helped establish PCIA. Through Fricke-Young's leadership and management, PCIA has grown to serve a clientele of over 1,000 professional firms.

As the current chief executive officer of PCIA, Fricke-Young has been invited to give numerous speeches and seminars for various professional associations and has taught risk management on an ad hoc basis at major universities in Michigan.
