Health department orders probe into Swine Flu case.

KOLKATA, 8 JUNE: A visibly embarrassed health department today ordered an inquiry into the incident in which an air passenger, who was segregated at NSC Bose Airport and later sent to Beliaghata ID Hospital for swine flu-like symptoms, was allowed to leave the hospital on Saturday night before being attended to by any of the hospital doctors.

Senior health department officials told The Statesman that an inquiry had been ordered to find out why the patient was not attended to by any of the doctors.

The director of medical education (DME) would conduct the inquiry and submit a report in this regard.
