TAIWAN AGENCY TO REVIEW CURBS ON CHINA EXPANSION FOR CHIPMAKERS.
TAIPEI, June 8 Asia Pulse - The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) will evaluate whether to allow semiconductor manufacturers to move their 12-inch wafer fabs to China during a review in July of existing restrictions on China-bound investment by Taiwanese businesses, an official said Friday.
According to Woody Duh, head of the ministry's Industrial Development Bureau, the government will comply with the Wassenaar Arrangement on Export Controls for Conventional Arms and Dual-Use Goods and Technologies in dealing with the issue.
