SEOUL, June 8 Asia Pulse - A trade and promotion delegation will visit the Middle East this week to help secure industrial plant orders for local companies, the government said Sunday.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy said the joint government and private sector delegation would be in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Monday through Wednesday, to hold talks on expanded bilateral business ties.
Lee Dong-geun, the deputy minister in charge of trade and investment promotion at the ministry, will lead the group in Doha and Abu Dhabi to hold negotiations with heads of companies that can place orders for plants and factory components.
"There are plans to hold talks with Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Investment Authority, Kaharamaa and Gasco along with executives of state run companies and government officials," a government official said.
