Outsourcing is an important, results-oriented vehicle for improving efficiency, lowering operating costs and establishing a leaner reskilled organization. As with any major change, those concerned about how the change will affect them often work against the objectives of the opportunity. Outsourcing is a major change program and can be a difficult event for the affected employees and management, for the company divisions involved in the service arrangement, and for community members impacted directly and indirectly by the event.
