The European Parliament approved a report prepared by Greek Socialist MEP Stavros Lambrindis that opposes France's controversial internet bill. By a vote of 481 to 25, with 21 abstentions, the EP's report on reinforcing security and fundamental liberties on the internet states that guaranteeing internet access to all citizens equates with guaranteeing them access to education.
