Budapest, March 30 (MTI) - Austrian oil and gas company OMV has sold its 21.2 percent stake in Hungary's MOL to Russian oil company Surgutneftegas for 1.4 billion euros, OMV announced in a press release on Monday.

Surgutneftegas spokeswoman Raisa Hotchenko told MTI that the company's purchase of OMV's stake in MOL was its first foreign investment.

The transaction leaves OMV with no shares in MOL.
