Bakoyannis attends Afghanistan Conference 2009.

THE HAGUE (ANA-MPA - V. Demiris) - Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis on Tuesday backed a call for a prominent civilian presence in Afghanistan, after presenting Greece's positions during the "International Conference on Afghanistan: a Comprehensive Strategy" held in the Netherlands on Tuesday.
Stressing that Athens' positions were clear, she underlined the need for action in the sectors of education and culture, as well as measures for the country's economic development and agriculture, noting that this was the only way the world could address the problem of drug trafficking from that country.
