DOHA, April 1 Asia Pulse - The Arab Summit and Summit of Arab-South American Countries expressed today their support for the UAE to host the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi.
Voting on the UAE request will take place during the second conference of IRENA next June in Egypt. A number of European countries including Germany and Austria are competing with the UAE to host the agency.
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) truly came into being on January 26, 2009 at the Founding Conference of IRENA in Bonn.
