SRI LANKA TO HAVE WIRELESS CREDIT CARD TERMINALS.
COLOMBO, April 1 Asia Pulse - Sri Lankan telco Lanka Bell and EPIC Lanka Technologies, an information technology firm have joined to provide wireless point of sale terminals for credit card transactions.
Lanka Bell operates a fixed access wireless network based on code division multiple access (CDMA) technology.
"The arrival of CDMA point of sale machines will mean a new dimension in convenience to merchants," Lanka Bell managing director Prasad Samarasinghe said in a statement.
