For public school teachers who need to mount a musical, this is a good one to include singing and non-singing participation. The musical is built around the theme of celebrating heroes among us--be they our parents, family, sports or community heroes. Written by Michael Gallina, a former elementary principal and his wife Jill, an elementary school music teacher, they have had plenty of experience in the "trenches" and staging this musical in a school setting.
With occasional two-part harmony, this musical can be performed by elementary (grades 4 and up) to middle school students. Included in this singer's edition is staging notes and ideas to make this a multi-media musical with dancers, dialogue, projected photos and singing.
