DRUG seller Roche Products upped its core Irish sales by 43pc in 2005, as the firm delivered its first batch of antiflu drugs to the government here.
Documents just filed at the Companies Office show that Roche Products (Ireland) sold 67.8m worth of Roche branded drugs in 2005, up from 47.4m in 2004.
The Department of Health and Children has now built up a stock of 1 million packs of Roche's Tamiflu anti flu drugs, which the government will use in the event of a flu pandemic. The first of these drugs were delivered in 2005 prompting a boost in turnover, a company spokeswoman said.
