CITY planning chiefs have recommended multimillion-pound plans for a business park at the southern entrance of Aberdeen be approved, it emerged last night.

Balmoral Park business estate, off Wellington Road and by Loirston Loch, could become the new base for more than 1,000 workers if proposals for a 128-bed hotel, a car showroom and offices are rubber-stamped.

Councillors will next week consider an outline application for the 18-acre site, with officials urging planning committee members to give it the go-ahead. It also emerged yesterday that the committee had granted planning permission …
