Bendl mulling cancellation of SZDC tender worth Kc36bn ------------------------------------------------------ Prague - Czech Transport Minister Petr Bendl said on Czech Television on Sunday he was considering cancellation of Kc36bn tender in which the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SZDC) wants to transfer the operation, maintenance and repair of national and regional rail owned by the state to a private firm. The private firm would also take over 4,000 employees. The planned transfer of SZDC employees was one of the reasons why railway trade unions threatened to call a strike in the past week.
