Self-study brings new pastor.

The self-study revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the church and helped the parishioners to chart a course for the future.

The council chose a young man who celebrated his 40th birthday this past Wednesday, Pastor Doug Zimmerman.

Pink and purple balloons decorate the tables outside his office; streamers still hang from the ceiling fans.

The atmosphere in the church office is radiant, festive; the promise of youth and hope permeates the small space.
