Budapest, March 1 (MTI) - Budapest's main share index, the BUX, closed last week on Friday at 10,190 points, down 1.83 percent compared with the previous week.

During the week, however, the index again fell below the 10,000 mark amid volatile trade.

Last year, the BUX lost over 53 percent of its value year on year, while this year it has so far dropped by 17 percent.

Total turnover on the exchange amounted to 77.7 billion forints (EUR 260 m) as against 98 billion the previous week. Sixty-two percent of trades were in OTP shares.
